The only reason we took that particular line was because I had my dog with us and she was struggling higher up closer to the ridge. It's brushy and rocky up there where as the east side is more open but a steeper climb up. Plus we found some water lower down from a small seep which was also needed as my hiking buddy was out. In the end was not sure if gaining the ridge near your exit and following that down to the saddle and then up to the peak or trying to follow your gpx was best. Felt like your route was in the drainage while it could be possible to circumnavigate up on the ridge - but looked a long climb to the top still. Will try again but wanted to pick Petrol_pryshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03340265274029197808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485219746574134113.post-40288537197634948882019-07-08T07:30:45.163-07:002019-07-08T07:30:45.163-07:00Hey Madison yes I'm definitely interested than...Hey Madison yes I'm definitely interested thanks I'll check out your post. As Far as the name I did minimal research so who knows Mickey may in fact be correct. I may see Bardley within the next few days I'll have to chat more with him about it. Thanks for reading brother.Lost In The Los Padreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09240033268757508249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8485219746574134113.post-6332466748995437172019-07-08T06:40:56.875-07:002019-07-08T06:40:56.875-07:00Nice job lads. He and I had a discussion about how Thorn Meadows/Point got its name. Like you, he claims it was named after W.H. Thorn. I had read from Mickey McTigue that the place was named after the wild roses that grow in the area (ala Rose Valley). Your and bardley's theory makes Madison Christianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17476494056610217659noreply@blogger.com
